Young Avengers is an animated television series based on the Mavel Comics superhero team of the same name. The series premiered on Disney XD in April 2013. The series is loosley based on the comics. Fifty-two episodes have been ordered to air throughout two seasons. The series went on a hiatus following the episode "Heat" but resumed airing with the epiosode "Invasion". The series went on another hiatus following the episode "Safe" and returned in January 2014 with the episode "Perfection". As of January 2014, Season 2 is in production.
Plot[]
Young Avengers follows a group of teenage superheroes eager to prove them selves to the Avengers by forming a subteam called the Young Avengers, to take on the missions that the Avengers cannot due to their more visible nature.

Captain America and Iron Man believe that the young heroes aren't ready and order them to go home. May 7: Iron Lad is disappointed with the Avengers' decision and with the help of Patriot, Wiccan and Hulkling, attempts to prove to the Avengers that they are ready by rescuing the team when they are captured by Kang the Conqueror who has come to take vengeance on earth's mightiest heroes. May 7: Patriot, Iron Lad, Wiccan and Hulkling succeed in freeing the Avengers from Kang's ship and after a deadly battle between Kang and the young heroes, Kang is forced into retreating. Captain America, Iron Man and the other Avengers congratulate the heroes on their victory and agree to train them as a team. Later it is revealed that Kang is studying his encounter with Iron Lad. May 12: The team move into Avengers Mansion with Vision. May 14: Captain America assigns the team with their first mission to rescue Doc Samson from A.I.M. who have abducted him for his research on nanotechnology. Patriot stuggles to lead the team with the heroes disobeying orders, but in the end the team prevail in freeing Doc Samson. May 20: Mysterious earthquakes are taking place along the eastern coast and the team are sent into Subterranea to investigate. June 1: The team arrive in Wakanda in an attempt to prevent a war from breaking out between the Wakandan people and Ulysses Klaw's men. Patriot discovers that the Black Panther's closest friend is a traitror supplying Vibranium to Klaw. In the end Klaw reports to five of the six mysterious figures that his plan was a success. June 6: A vessel from the Kree world arrives on earth to force the planet into joining their empire. The Kree place a forcefield around Avengers Tower with the Avengers in it. Meanwhile the team sneak onto the Kree ship and try to disable the forcefield. Following their defeat, the Kree promise to return. June 7: The six mysterious figures discuss the Kree's visit to earth being a threat to their plans.

June 17: Crossbones, Grey Gargoyle and Speed break into the Vault and capture Technovore. Iron Man sends Iron Lad and Hulkling to hunt them down. Speed has flashbacks of his parents' deaths and finally realises that he is on the wrong side after Iron Man informs him that his sister is alive. June 22: The team are assigned with overseeing the transport of a secret weapon headed to New Mexico. Living Laser attacks the team and is successful in claiming the weapon until it is stolen by Lucia von Bardas who manages to escape. Later Lucia delivers the weapon to a hooded figure. July 4: An alien armada approaches earth and with all of the Avengers fighting off an alien invasion, the team is the only defence against the Masters of Evil who infiltrate Avengers Tower. In the end the team realise that the invasion was a hoax for the Masters to steal data on the Avengers. July 5: The Enchantress delivers the stolen data to Loki who from it uncovers that Ms. Marvel has been replaced by a Skrull.

July 19: Taskmaster meets with his secret employer who assigns him with his first mission. July 20: Captain America sends the team to Russia in order to protect the Russian president from getting assassinated by Taskmaster who is really after a rare piece of Adamantium in the president's possession. July 21: Mephisto places a spell on Iron Lad during his sleep. August 19: Patriot discusses Iron Lad's violent behavior with Captain America, Iron Man and Vision. The team are sent to retrieve a piece of the Tablet of Time which is burried somewhere in a desert in New Mexico, but soon find that A.I.M. is also dedicated to retrieving it and following a crossfire between the two, A.I.M. and Grey Gargoyle prevail in retrieving the piece of the artifact. August 20: Iron Lad leaves the team after an argument with Patriot concerning his behavior and loyalty to the team. September 2: A masked figure uses an unknown weapon to cause massive blackouts in a number of large cities around the world. September 3: The team find that it is the same weapon which was stolen by Lucia von Bardas and are sent to investigate the connections between the blackouts in several cities. When they come too close to the truth, the team are attacked by the same masked figure who then manages to escape and attack them at the Avengers Mansion, where it is unmasked and revealed to be a Doombot. September 4: While the team are in search of another piece of the Tablet of Time in India, Iron Lad's sole is once again possessed by Mephisto who sends him to eliminate the team with the help of Mephisto's son Blackheart. In the end the team free Iron Lad's sole and he rejoins the team. Meanwhile Blackheart escapes with the piece of the tablet and meets with five of the six mysterious figures. September 11: After witnessing Lucia von Bardas and Crimson Dynamo working with A.I.M., Patriot, Wiccan, Speed and Captain America try to figure out why all the villains are co-operating with each other by sending Wiccan and Speed undercover as A.I.M. agents. On their mission they discover that MODOK has created an android made of the stolen Vibranium and Adamantium, the same elements which where used in the creation of Vision, and is using a nanochip that Doc Samson was forced to work on whilst being their prisoner, to control it. September 18: Following his return to the team, Iron Lad is still frightened of the future that Kang showed him and of what he will become. Iron Man sends the team on a mission to Antarctica where they are confronted by Kang and the Council of Cross-Time Kangs who plan to fulfill Iron Lad's destiny of becoming their reality's Kang. September 27: After returning from a mission, Patriot is out patroling the streets when he notices a hooded figure watching him from the distance before disappearing. September 30: Patriot finally confronts the hooded figure who has been spying on him and discovers it to be the Grim Reaper, an agent of HYDRA who killed his brother and would have killed him too if not for Captain America. The Grim Reaper challenges Patriot to attempt to save an innocent family before they share his brother's fate. October 6: The founding members of the Avengers host a ceremony infront of Avengers Tower to induct their newest member Namor the Sub-Mariner into their roster. October 8: The team travel to Atlantis where they ally them selves with Namor and his armies against Baron Strucker, Madame Hydra, Crossbones, Grim Reaper and the rest of HYDRA in an attempt to retrieve the third piece of the Tablet of Time. November 15: The six mysterious figures discuss the next step of their plan. November 17: At night Ultron infiltrates the Avengers Mansion and infects Vision's mind with a virus. November 30: Iron Man detects that another Kree ship has landed on earth and sends the team to investigate. The team discover that the ship belongs to Captain Marvel, an old ally of the Avengers who has come to earth to stop the Skrull who have been kidnapping people and replacing them with Skrull agents. In the end the team and Captain Marvel stop the Skrull's plans and the Skrull are captured. December 1: Ms. Marvel contacts a Skrull to inform him that everything is going according to plan.
