X-Men is a live action television series that will start airing on as part of Syfy's fall lineup. It is based on the comics by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
Plot[]
The series follows the adventures of the X-Men, who under a cloud of increasing anti-mutant sentiment, Professor Charles Xavier created a haven at his family estate to train young mutants to use their powers for the benefit of humanity, and to prove mutants can be heroes. Xavier recruited calling them "X-Men" because they possess special powers due to their possession of the "X-gene," a gene which normal humans lack and which gives mutants their abilities.
