Somewhere in 1987 Los Angeles, no one is interested in the Golden Age of cartoons anymore, and everyone is at Cold War. Children were watching cartoon shows and recklessly buying toys tied with them, the economy took a serious toll, a lot of people were getting lazier and more obese because of fast food. And even Roger Rabbit is out of the job. Slick teen Tommy Valiant was forced by his parents to visit a retirement home, with one of the retired elders as his grandfather---Eddie Valiant! Roger bumps in and is VERY happy to see him again. When someone, disguised as Roger, attacks Israel during a war, killing many Israelis and American troops, government officials hire a mysterious man with secret agendas to capture him so he can be interrogated. And he plans to brainwash the whole world into thinking that Toons are the #1 destroyer of world peace and the human mind, and must be destroyed. So it's up to Eddie, Roger, Jessica, and Tommy to put a stop to his plans, and clear Roger's name...again!

Bob Hoskins as Eddie Valiant, a retired detective and grandfather of Tommy Valiant. He was done with investigating crime, but when Roger gets framed for a terrorist attack on Israel, Eddie must spark up his heroism as a detective and save the day.
