Veronica Mangano was born on June 12, 2005 to wealthy parents Luciana (née Santiago) and Raphael Mangano in New York City, New York and she speaks with a New York City accent. She is related to Italian-American mobsters Vincent Mangano, Philip Mangano, Venero Mangano, Lawrence Mangano, and Vito Mangano, and she is Philip Mangano’s Great-granddaughter and Ronnie Anne’s Italian-American counterpart. In 2013, Veronica and her family moved to Royal Woods where she enrolled in St. Francis of Assisi Elementary School, where she met Richard Loud. Veronica began to have a crush on Richard and instead of bullying him like Ronnie Anne did to her crush Lincoln, Veronica used her charm to get Richard’s attention. They went on a date at Dominic's Restaurant, a popular Italian 5-star restaurant in Royal Woods, where she tells Richard that she is in love with him.

Veronica is a competitive, tough and athletic tomboy who enjoys sports and other physical activities. However, she is not as tough as her second cousin, Ronnie Anne, in fact, she is a kindhearted girl. Like her boyfriend Richard, Veronica practices every existing sport and is skilled in various martial arts.
