Star Wars is the upcoming film reboot of the Star Wars saga. The film has a planned release in the spring of 2015. The film's latest update by it's signed on director/writer Sam Raimi had him confirm his involvement with the film and the announcement of the film's script being in early development with Raimi and his fellow co-workers debating where to take the reboot within the Star Wars timeline (set the reboot within the sequel or prequel trilogy). In early 2013 Raimi announced the film's settting to be within the prequel trilogy but also confirmed that their version of the Clone Wars will have an original twist. In May of that year Laim Hemsworth and Joel Edgerton signed deals to portray the film's main protagonists Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Plot[]

After his presumed death almost twenty years ago, Darth Maul returns and alies himself with Count Dooku and bounty hunter Def Rondo to take revenge on the Jedi who almost killed him: Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Production[]

In his latest interview, Sam Raimi announced that he and his team are working on whether to place the reboot within the sequel or prequel trilogy of the Star Wars timeline. Raimi also confirmed that the reboot will most definetly takeplace within one of the two trilogies and will focus on either Luke or Anakin Skywalker. In early 2013 Sam Raimi announced the film to be set in the prequel trilogy and focus on Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi but also stated that their version of the Clone Wars will have an orginial twist in both story and tone.

Title[]

Sam Raimi also spoke of the issue of the upcoming film's title and stated that the film will not have an episodic title as did the previous six live-action films. As well as this, when asked Raimi stated that the film's title will not be Star Wars 7 as previously rumored. In early 2014 Raimi confirmed the title to simply be Star Wars.

Sequel[]

A month before the film's premiere Raimi confirmed that a sequel had already been greenlit.
