RFID Tag Barcoding Infrastructure is a consept that involves tagging all purchasable items with passive RFID barcode tags prior to their sale (either by the shops or by the manufacturers). The RFID barcode tags can then be used to identify the type of the item, replacing todays "graphical barcodes".

The RFID barcodes can be used first in the shops themselves by Automatic Cashier's Registers, and then at home by devices such as Smart Refrigirator and Smart Closet. For this purpose the RFID tags should be placed in a manner that will not disturb the user durring the use of the product (for example while wearing a shirt).

To allow different products to be compatible with different RFID Scanner Gates, the RFID barcode coding that is used for that purpose need to be standartized.
