Ninja Turtles: War of 2 Worlds is an upcoming 2016 American action film based on the franchise of the same name. It is sequel to the 2014 reboot, the film will be a crossover between 2014 film and The Last Airbender. It will be co-produced and directed by George Miller, written by Miller, Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec. It stars Megan Fox, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Alan Ritchson, Danny Woodburn, Tony Shalhoub, William Fichtner, Ralph Macchio (replacing Johnny Knoxville as voice and Pete Ploszek continues motion capture as Leonardo), Nicola Peltz, Shaun Toub, Dev Patel, Summer Bishil with new cast Miles Teller, Ving Rhames, Michael Rooker, Ty Simpkins and Zachary Gordon.
The film is scheduled to be released on June 3, 2016.
The turtles and co. join forces with Aang and friends to stop Shredder from introducing technology to The Fire Nation and conquering our time period.
Fichtner revealed in a interview with Flicks and the City that he's signed on for 3 TMNT films. Fisher also revealed in an interview that all four of the turtle actors have signed on for three films as well but Knoxville will not return to voice Leonardo but will be voiced by Ralph Macchio. Liebesman and Fuller had confirmed that Casey Jones as well as Bebop and Rocksteady will appear in the sequels. There are also plans for Krang and Dimension X in the sequels as well. On August 10, 2014, Paramount announced that a sequel will be released on June 3, 2016, with Michael Bay returning as producer and Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec coming back as screenwriters
On August 18, 2014 Mad Max director George Miller will replace Liebesmam director and will co-produce and write the film and the crew from Fury Road help out with the film.
On March 2015, Brian Tyler Tweeted that he will return to score the film with Fury Road's Junkie XL.
