Heroes of the Savannah is a live-action/CGI film based on the RPG game series of the same name.
Plot[]
The film begins in an alternate Africa. In the zebra herd, a mother zebra, named Nosipho, gave birth to a foal and named him Zhuang. A few days later, Zhuang, Nosipho and the rest of the zebra herd follow the other animals to the watering hole. Just then, a lion, named Mabaya, and his pride annouce all the animals that the good king Macario died and became the new king.
A few years passed and Zhuang have growned from a foal to a young adult. Later, his friend, Taddaki the oxpecker, helps him to get together with another zebra, Kifahari.

Differences between the film and the games[]
- In The Epic Begins, Zhaung was born during Mabaya's reign. In the film, Zhaung was born at the end of Macario's reign.
- The kopje in the film now has basenji dogs as guards.
