What if there was a movie based on Creepypasta?
Music is Shiny Metal Rods by Aphex Twin.
And of course a remix of the infamous Lavender Town theme.
I have been asked to make a trailer for The Rake, for Candle Cove, for The Russian Sleep experiment and for Jeff the Killer by different people. Here ya go!
Creepypasta is a phenomena that sprung from another: Copypasta, namely 'copying and pasting' a block of text to a forum. Some inventive (or trollish) forum dweller decided to use these posts to make up deliberately disturbing urban legends, stories, and ideas. The most famous of these have practically become internet cultural icons: Slenderman, Candle Cove, Jeff the Killer, Zalgo, the Tails Doll and others. They've become so ubiquitous and popular that several wikis now cater to them specifically, gathering up these vignettes and ghost stories. The genius behind them for me is how they twist the commonplace into something filled with dread. Reading Easter Egg on Mt. Silver will make it so you never quite look at the game Pokemon the same way again and other creepypastas like The Holders series (practically it's own distinctive class of creepypasta) make things as innocuous as doors and ladders unnerving.
